African institutions have until 12 February to apply to a scheme that funds postgraduate training in agriculture.
The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture funds the Graduate Research Grants, which also aim to promote research that will improve the productivity of smallholder farmers. Successful applicants will be given US$65,000 over two years.
Consortia involving private universities, government departments, development agencies, farmer organisations and non-governmental organisations are invited to submit proposals.
