RUFORUM consults on new strategy

The Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture is preparing a strategy to guide its operations for the next five years.

Paul Nampala, RUFORUM grants manager, said the strategy is necessitated by its increase in membership from 10 universities in five African countries in 2004 to the current 46 institutions in 22 countries.  

“As the number of universities expands we need to review programmes and services that we offer,” he told vice-chancellors at a strategic and business planning consultative meeting held in Johannesburg from 23-24 November. The current strategy expires in 2015.
