Deadline approaching for TWAS Africa prize

The closing date for nominations for The World Academy of Sciences Regional Office for sub-Saharan Africa’s 2015 prize is fast approaching, with the deadline set for 19 July.

TWAS offices in five regions around the world each award annual prizes of US$3,000. The Academy of Science of South Africa hosts the sub-Saharan African office. The focus this year is on the development of science education material.

Nominees must be nationals of a sub-Saharan African country, affiliated to a university or research organisation in the region, and be leading figures in the focus field. Only organisations and individuals can nominate candidates: self-nomination is not allowed.
