Agriscience must do more to reach farmers, says NEPAD chief

The benefits flowing from agricultural research and innovation in Africa are hampered by poor dissemination, according to a top African policymaker.

Ibrahim Mayaki, chief executive of the New Partnership for Africa’s Development agency, made the criticism on 3 February in Nairobi.

He was speaking at the 15th anniversary of the creation of the Biosciences Eastern and Central Africa Hub at the International Livestock Research Institute in the Kenyan capital.
