Staff belonging to any of the 66 member universities of the pan-African Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture can apply for PhD programmes in oil and gas studies at the University of Port Harcourt in Nigeria.
The opportunity is offered by Ruforum in partnership with the university’s Centre of Excellence for Oil Field Chemicals Research. There are 15 places on offer.
Candidates must be nominated by their university. The sending university needs to commit to meet certain costs, including airfare and a monthly stipend. The University of Port Harcourt will waive their tuition fees and sponsor research activities.
