Southern and East African HIV researchers won a bevy of prizes at a conference billed as the largest HIV science gathering in the world.
The winners were announced at the International Aids Society’s Conference on HIV Science in Paris, France on 23-26 July.
Three Africa-linked projects will receive up to US$150,000 over two years for paediatric HIV research—two in South Africa and another in Kenya. The South African projects will be led by Amy Slogrove from the University of Cape Town and Ute Feucht from the University of Pretoria.
