Africa Science Week expands by 22 countries

Twenty-two African countries will hold inaugural science weeks in 2018 during the second African Science Week programme of the Next Einstein Forum.

Angola, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cape Verde, eSwatini, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Lesotho, Mauritania, Niger, Namibia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Togo, Tunisia, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe will hold new events in the coming months.

This edges the initiative closer to the NEF’s 2017 promise to have a science week in every country of the continent by 2020.
