African universities show strength in social science

Subject ranking features 19 Arican universities from seven countries

The University of Cape Town leads the way in a strong showing for Africa in the social sciences subject ranking published on 6 November by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

UCT nets a top 100 spot, coming in at 92nd place, with 18 other universities from seven African countries also making the social science list. It is the strongest showing for the continent in the four subject rankings published last week, which also include law, business, and education.
