The University of Oxford has announced 21 fellowship winners from its Africa-Oxford Initiative, racking up an unusually wide spread of nationalities from the continent.
The latest round of fellows who will spend time at the United Kingdom institution was announced on 1 May and includes researchers from smaller countries like Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) and the Seychelles.
Three winners each hail from Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa, while Ethiopia, Ghana, and the Seychelles have two winners apiece. Cameroon, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eswatini, Morocco, South Sudan, and Tanzania host one winner each.
