World leaders promise to support African science
The world’s richest nations have promised to back science in Africa as part of the digital transformation of the continent. The G7 leaders met in Biarritz, France, and announced their decisions on 26 August. Their joint strategy with African governments aims to develop digital skills, particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, with a focus on women.
