African Youth Survey 2020 reveals widespread environmental concern
Four of five Africans aged 18 to 24 are “seriously concerned” about environmental degradation and climate change, according to a survey.
The survey, published on Earth Day, 22 April, canvassed 4,200 youths across 14 African countries. Eighty-one per cent of respondents expressed serious concern about climate change. The highest rates were recorded in Ethiopia (93 per cent), Senegal (92 per cent), and Zambia (90 per cent).
