Africa-linked researcher wins World Food Prize
A researcher who spent nearly two decades at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture in Nigeria is the winner of the 2020 World Food Prize. Rattan Lal was awarded the prize on 11 June. Lal’s research focuses on soil quality including techniques such as no-till farming, cover cropping and agroforestry.
