Government funding needed to bridge gap between research and policy, study says

West African countries need to urgently invest in health policy and systems research, a paper by seven authors from the region has argued.

The paper, published on 10 November in Public Health Research and Practice, surveyed decision-makers and research leaders in nine countries: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
