Malaria Atlas Project to establish presence in Tanzania

              

East African ‘node’ of database project will be supported with US$5 million

The Malaria Atlas Project, a global malaria database, is establishing a node in east Africa in an attempt to anchor its operations in malaria-endemic areas.

The Map is a designated World Health Organization Collaborating Centre in Geospatial Disease Modelling. It is based at the Telethon Kids Institute at Perth Children’s Hospital in Australia.
