Fourteen researchers from Ghana and Uganda have been offered fellowships as the first recipients of the Cambridge-Africa Partnership for Research Excellence launched last year.
The so-called CAPREX partnership links the University of Cambridge in the UK with the University of Ghana, Legon, and the University of Makerere in Uganda.
Over the next three years a total of 40 researchers from the two African universities will travel to Cambridge to undergo a six-month visiting academic fellowships.
