South Africa hosts social sciences conference

The World Social Science Forum will be held in Durban, South Africa, from 13 to 16 September 2015 under the theme, Transforming global relations for a just world.

South Africa’s Human Sciences Research Council, the Senegal-based Council for Development of Social Sciences in Africa, and the International Social Science Council are organising the event, which will be held in Africa for the first time.

The organisers are calling for abstracts based on any of the eight topics, which include: history, trends and patterns of global inequality; theorising and measuring inequality and drivers, catalysts; and determinants of inequality in the global system.
