Two Africa-based marine research organisations have teamed up in a research call to monitor litter in the Western Indian Ocean.
The programme is a collaboration between the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association and the African Marine Waste Network.
Research should find and analyse inland sources of ocean litter, track plastic as it moves in the sea, and monitor micro-litter and microplastics in the ocean.
