Europe dominates sustainable development research

Europe dominates research relevant to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, a study by research analytics company Clarivate shows.

The study, published this month, examines around 10,300 papers deemed relevant to one or several of the 17 SDGs. The exact date range of papers is not given in the report, but some pre-date 2010.

The analysis “shows that European nations dominate SDGs research”, the study says, with North America and the Asia and Pacific regions both contributing less than Europe.
