G7 bloc has “critical role” in rebuilding momentum lost to Covid-19 and financial slump, MPs state
Parliamentarians from 24 countries around the world have called on G7 leaders meeting in Japan this week to increase the bloc’s investment in neglected tropical diseases.
In an open letter on 17 May, the MPs from countries including Nigeria, Uganda and the Maldives, say that the Covid-19 pandemic and the global economic downturn have caused setbacks in the fight against NTDs.
