UK announces African climate research projects worth £21.5m

                 

Projects aim to boost mitigation and adaptation, as summit highlights dearth of clean energy financing

The UK has unveiled a series of research projects to combat climate change in Africa.

Six projects will be funded with £21.5 million (US$27m) through the UK’s Climate Adaptation and Resilience research programme, which is co-funded by Canada’s International Development Research Centre.
