Administrator given two years to rescue Walter Sisulu university

Blade Nzimande, the South African minister for higher education and training (DHET), has appointed an administrator for the embattled Walter Sisulu University.

Nzimande announced at a news conference that Lourens van Staden, deputy vice-chancellor at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT), had been appointed administrator from 31 October.
