Zambia gets regional agriculture centre

Construction on the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture’s new Zambia-based research centre started on 30 September.

The Southern Africa Research and Administration Hub (Sarah) will be built on a 50-hectare plot at Kabangwe, some 25 kilometres north of the captial, Lusaka.

The centre will replace IITA’s temporary southern African hub, established in 2010 in the captial city.
