South Africa seals research deal with Novartis

South Africa has signed a deal with pharmaceutical giant Novartis to collaborate in research and clinical trials.

The agreement between the South African Medical Research Council, the Department of Science and Technology and the company was signed on 25 May in Cape Town.

The collaboration falls under the SAMRC Strategic Health Innovation Partnerships, which focuses on developing medicines and medical devices.
