Treaty paves way for more climate research in Southern Africa

Intergovernmental body will allow region to source funding from developed countries and international instruments

Southern African countries this week signed a treaty and joint declaration to establish the Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) as an international organisation.
