Open access not ready to dethrone traditional publishing, claims Plan S critic

Traditional publishing retains a number of advantages over open-access publishing, a South African academic has argued.

Its main advantage is the resources that large academic publishing companies still possess, Keyan Tomaselli, a researcher in the humanities at the University of Johannesburg, writes in a paper published last week in the South African Journal of Science.
