Financial insecurity “eats into the core business” of universities, committee chair says
MPs on South Africa’s science, technology and higher education committee have slammed the government for holding back a report containing proposals for funding students in the country sustainably.
The committee had scheduled a meeting this week for a briefing by the department about the report. However, the meeting was cut short when it became clear the department would not provide it.
