Science minister highlights importance of science to policymaking in keynote address

South Africa’s science minister Blade Nzimande highlighted the vital role of science in policy development when he launched this year’s Science Forum South Africa on 6 December.

The forum is being held at the CSIR International Convention Centre in Tshwane, formerly Pretoria, until 8 December. It brings together science stakeholders from South Africa and further afield to showcase their achievements and discuss ways to address common challenges.
