Retired mathematician vows to “waste no minute” in tackling university’s challenges
The University of Cape Town has appointed retired mathematician and computational engineer Daya Reddy as interim vice-chancellor, the university announced this week.
Reddy, who retired from the university in 2020, took up the position on 14 March. He will hold the post until a substantive VC is appointed following the departure of Mamokgethi Phakeng earlier this month.
