Nigerians still dominate Carnegie fellowship winners’ list

A third of the winners in an initiative designed to allow African researchers in the diaspora to make short visits to universities in their home countries are from Nigeria.

Carnegie Corporation of New York announced the 60 winners of its African Diaspora Fellowships on 11 November.

This is the second time that Nigerian fellows have dominated the list of winners. Nigeria hosted nearly 40 per cent of the winners in the first round of funding announced in June.
