Three Nigerian universities have partnered with two US counterparts in a bid to boost biomedical research in the West African country.
The universities of Lagos, Ibadan, and Jos have joined with the Harvard School of Public Health and the Northwestern University School of Medicine in the BRAINS (Building Research and Innovation in Nigeria’s Science) project.
It is a five-year project funded by the Fogarty International Center, one of the US National Institutes of Health, and is due to run until 2020.
