Nigeria’s army university set to join Tetfund beneficiaries

The National Universities Commission has pledged to include the new Nigerian Army University in the list of institutions that can draw funding from the country’s Tertiary Education Trust Fund.

The university, situated in Biu, Borno State, will open its doors to students in September. It is an expansion of the Nigerian Army Institute of Technology and Environmental Studies, previously located in Makurdi, Benue State.

The university will not only train army personnel, but will be open to the general public.
