Students at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana have designed and built a solar powered 4×4 pick-up car.
The car was test driven on 8 July during a graduation ceremony at the university. Students from the mechanical engineering and physics departments developed the car in partnership with the Technical University in Munich, Germany.
Kwasi Obiri-Danso, vice-chancellor of KNUST, said the vehicle would undergo further testing.
