A Nigerian medical sciences university has created a mechanism to source external funding for research. The University of Medical Sciences, or Unimed, was established in 2015.
The platform, “Friends of Unimed”, urges stakeholders, supporters and friends of the university in Nigeria to donate. The aim is to raise N1 billion (US$3 million) a year this way.
