Nigeria’s National Universities Commission has upgraded Moshood Abiola Polytechnic in Ogun state, south-west Nigeria, to a university of science and technology.
Abubakar Rasheed, the NUC’s executive secretary, made the announcement on 3 July at an event in Abuja to formally recognise the upgrade.
Moshood Abiola University of Science and Technology is Nigeria’s 45th state university, its 85th public university, and its 153rd university overall.
