The Nigerian ministry of science and technology will oversee the establishment of an oil and gas equipment and machinery institute in oil-rich Bayelsa State, southern Nigeria.
The science minister, Ogbonnaya Onu, visited the state on 22 September to solicit support from its governor, Seriake Dickson.
