The Gavi Alliance and the United Bank for Africa Foundation have launched a vaccination campaign in Nigeria.
The pair announced the partnership on 28 September in New York. It aims to gather funding of US$1.5 million over two years for Gavi’s immunisation work, vaccine advocacy and health system strengthening in Nigeria.
“Strong, sustainable health systems are key to ensuring no child misses out on life-saving vaccines which is why this partnership will make a real difference, reducing child mortality and helping to meet the Sustainable Development Goals in 2030,” said Seth Berkley, Gavi CEO, in a statement.
