The director of Ghana’s Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research traveled to Japan this month to fundraise for an endowment fund for his institution.
The fund will commemorate the 90th anniversary of the death of Hideyo Noguchi, a Japanese doctor who travelled to Ghana to find the causative agent of yellow fever.
