Victorian Department of Health: mental illness research grants

The Victorian Department of Health invites applications for its mental illness research fund.

Grants from this fund are for collaborative research projects that may lead to better outcomes for Victorians with mental illness and their families or carers. Projects must address one or more of the following themes: optimising psychological recovery outcomes and minimising disability for people affected by mental illness; improving effectiveness of existing and new treatments for people affected by mental illness; increasing social participation by people affected by mental illness.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents. The project must be completed within the four-year funding period, and a principal component of the research project must be based in Victoria.

The total budget for this call is AU$10 million. This award is in Australian research income Category 2.
