USQ signs deal with Beijing engineering university

The University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba has signed a research and academic exchange agreement with one of China’s biggest engineering and architecture universities.

The deal with the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture was officially announced by USQ vice-chancellor Jan Thomas and BUCEA deputy president Guohua Song on 14 November.

The agreement is between BUCEA and USQ’s schools of civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, and will give the Queensland university access to some of Beijing’s most influential architects and engineers, working on critical urban planning issues.
