Academic journal to ‘give a voice’ to Asia-Pacific social workers

An international journal that will focus on Asia-Pacific social work policies and projects has been launched by an academic at Charles Sturt University in regional New South Wales.

Manohar Pawar, professor of social work at the university’s school of humanities and social sciences, said the quarterly journal would publish papers by Asia-Pacific researchers and those involved in community-led development work.

The first edition of the International Journal of Community and Social Development was published on 4 March, with Pawar as editor-in-chief.
