China to work with Monash on marketing biomedical research

Monash University in Melbourne has signed a deal with Chinese biomedical investors and industry organisations to set up an R&D commercialisation centre in Shenzhen, one of China’s largest cities.

The university will work with four Chinese partners to develop the Monash Technology Transformation Institute in the city’s Pingshan district.

Shenzhen is one of China’s fastest-growing cities and is ranked as one of the country’s top three economic powerhouses alongside Beijing and Shanghai. It is the headquarters for China’s national software development plan and is also home to many of the country’s largest technology companies and startup accelerators.
