Former prime minister warns of outbreak’s potential impact on Australian and global economy

The coronavirus crisis is the single biggest challenge faced by China’s president Xi Jinping, and Australia should not be complacent about its potential economic impact, former prime minister Kevin Rudd has said.

“The virus has brought significant parts of the economy to a grinding halt, as firms instruct their employees to work from home,” he writes in an editorial for international media platform Project Syndicate.
