An academy of sciences for Pacific nations could prevent brain drain and forge international ties

The Pacific region has been missing a voice for science on the international stage.

Despite being on the front lines of global environmental change, there is currently no collective mechanism for scholars from the Pacific’s many nations to inform decision-makers about climate impacts and other pressing issues facing the region.
