Lawyer, anti-gambling campaigner and independent federal senator, Nick Xenophon, will deliver the keynote address at a national law conference in Canberra.

The ALA, or “lawyers for the people” as its website proclaims, lobbies for increased access to justice for socially disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, including the homeless, refugees, migrants and young people. They also publish Precedent, a bi-monthy publication that “provides commentary and update on vital areas of law and policy” and offers updates on Twitter.
