Men urged to sign up for health research register

A South Australian medical school has developed an online register to encourage more men to take part in its national health research programmes.

Launching the project on 13 June at the University of Adelaide, psychologist Camille Short said health researchers were “very aware of the challenges of recruiting men” for health surveys.

“At best, currently we can get only a representation of about 25 to 30 per cent of men involved in our health studies,” she said.
