An Adelaide startup that uses low cost satellite technology to monitor agriculture and mining activities in remote areas has won two major business awards in the United States and Australia.
Myriota was developed at the University of South Australia’s institute for telecommunications research. On July 12, it was named best new business at the Adelaide state final of a national business award sponsored by the country’s biggest telecommunications company.
It is now a finalist in the national Telstra Business Awards, which will be announced in Sydney in August.
