ANU plans overhaul of engineering courses

The Australian National University in Canberra has announced a 10-year plan to expand its engineering and computer science courses and facilities.

Announcing the details on 8 August, ANU vice-chancellor Brian Schmidt said the university will develop science research and education programmes to reflect “the rising power of technology”.

Schmidt also stressed the need to increase gender diversity in ANU engineering and computer science course enrolments and staff appointments.
