Australia’s first online calculator that will allow retirees to simplify complex fee structures and compare retirement village costs has been launched by Macquarie University in Sydney.
Announcing details, Macquarie actuary Tim Kyng said the free calculator processes a range of fees to provide a simple “equivalent monthly rent” for consumers.
Kyng developed the calculator after trying to help his mother with financial documents outlining retirement housing costs.
