The University of Tasmania has announced it will set up a College of Health and Medicine as part of a restructure of medical and health schools at its Hobart campus.
Announcing details on 4 September, UTAS provost Mike Calford said the college will begin operating in January 2018.
“Earlier this year, and in response to the university’s desire to reduce the complexity of its organisation and academic structure, management of the Faculty of Health and Menzies Institute developed a proposal to form a college,” he said.
