Queensland is to host the world’s biggest surfing technology and marine conservation conference at Coolangatta on the state’s Gold Coast in March 2020.
Southern Cross University will be involved in the five-day Global Wave conference, which will bring together more than 400 academics, scientists and surf champions to discuss issues such as pollution, climate change and sustainable surfboard production.
Announcing the details, pro vice-chancellor Ben Roche said the university was “stoked” to be a supporting partner for the international event, which is held every two years.
